Planning ride Houston to Sturgis August 7-9th - returning following weekend.

Maybe me and 1 other. Any info on groups going that "hook up" for ride?

We are a group of 4 maybe 5 bikes leaving houston 4th-5th totally flexible on departure dates and spend 3a riding up must check out on 11th and 3 back

I did make it! One of the best weeks ever. What a blast. But yes, this is from two years ago.

Wife and I leaving Central Texas area on Thursday Aug 2. Headed up TX, OK, KS, NE, SD. Coming back SD, WY, CO, NM, TX. So, if you see us on the road throw a wave and we'll stop for a cold one!

My girl and I are leaving on 8-3-13 @ 2:00 AM and riding until 12:00-1:00 the next day, get get a room and get in the pool. Rest, nap and hit the road about 2:00 AM again.

Man that daytime heat for the first 2 days is a killer. In 2011 in was 109 in Dallas and 111 in Okla City. I'm not doing that again. Ride in wee hours of the morning and lay up in the AC.

We're checking in to the Bullock Hotel in Deadwood on the 6th. We're taking 2 weeks plus the weekends off, (16 days total). We will return to Houston on the 17th/18th.

We both ride 2012 Ultra Classic Limited's, twice the gas, twice the fun.

 

We are leaving Spring on the 2nd. riding to Amarillo the first night and up through Colorado to Cheyenne Wyoming. Be in Spearfish KOA Sunday afternoon. Would love to meet up with others along the route.
