Default Last weeks trip

We were planing on leaving saturday and the rain pushed us back to leave on sunday. We got going on at around 0700 sunday motning rode to Gunterville Al. and spent the night on the lake at holiday inn.
The next day we rode thru Albertville where the tornado went thru, devastation, (note to self) Don't **** off mother nature. Then rode to Leeds went thru the Barber Motor Speedway Motorcycle Museum.A must see for any motorcycle lover. could have spent the whole day there.
Left and headed toward Naw-lins.stopped at Slidell La and decided to spend 2 nights there rather than going the last 35 miles down town.
Bourbon street was a great time just watching the people fairly crowded for a Tuesday night.
Wed. Morning we headed toward Panama Cuty Beach along the coast line a great ride but stop and go traffic made a 300 mile trip a all day adventure but still worth the trip.
When we got to The Orgin at Seahaven checked in and the condo we were In was very nice. The staff was great. It goes to show some people live a very diffrent lifestyle than me.
We spent thursday and most of friday checking out the venues.I was planning on making out to Ms Newbys. And Then the rain started and it rained and let up then rian some more.
My appoligies to thiose that were lucky enough to make it to the meet and greet.Maybe next year the weather wil hold out.
Saturday Morning at 0700 it was jiffy stands up. storms were up along I 65 and we had decided to make our way up to I-75, and try to beat the weather, comming east. We made it to Corbin Ky before we caught up with the rain. Still had the last 100 miles to go.
I got home at 19:30. 700 miles in 12 and a half hours not to bad considering fuel stops and a half our for a bite at Mc Donalds.
One of the best trips in recent history. I think the biggest disapointment was not making the meet and great. I've ridden in the rain so much it don't dampen my mood anyore.
I would like say the new Ultra Limited performed wonderfully. The money the performance up grades was well spent.
My 05 Ultra that went with us on the trip is still performing like a champ. My boss bought it and is very happy with it. That being said he was surprised at how we ride. I led the most of the way home and when we got in the rain I slowed down to the speed limit.
