Trying to figure out a ride in June from Michigan to Virginia Beach. Want to cross the Chesapeake Bay Bridge tunnel and stay and burn up one day in Virginia Beach. Any recommendations what to check out, places to stay and maybe a couple of casinos on the way. Got 6 days to ride and sight see. Thanks

 

Went to VB on the bike last weekend. Got stopped in traffic 4 miles from the tunnel Sunday afternoon. Stop and go for the next 4 miles thru the tunnel. Rest of the trip was fine. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express on the beach, ocean view, for $160 a night tax incl. Lot of things to see and do but bring your walking shoes as traffic can be slow on the main drag. Pedal power seems to be the best way to get around.

 

Heading down the Va beach this summer for a week to see a good friend.
We are planning to do a ride down to the outer banks while I'm there.
