Default Help.. possible road trip

To all...

Well life throws you a curve ball every once in awhile.

Let me explain. I have worked for a company for the past 8years and just found out that they are closing my department. Needless to say I will be jobless come August 31st.

So I live in northern California and I'm looking for somewhere to ride to and enjoy. No stress no deadline nothing. Wife has given me her blessings for say.

So where should I go????

Bike is an 05 Electra Glide with about 15k miles.

New tires, brakes, brake fluid changed, new windscreen. Oh and new power commander V.

Thanks for the info in advance

As soon as I figure out how to post pics I will.

If you havent already done it, 101 up to Astoria is beautiful. Then cut over to I5 and ride over to Mt Saint Helens. Then I would ride the Columbia Gorge to Lewiston/ Clarkston. Sorry to hear about your job status. Good luck in what ever you decide to do next.

The Columbia Gorge is so pretty.

I like this idea, with maybe a way to divert over to Bend, OR and/or Crater Lake either on the way up or back.

Don't know how long ya plan on spending or where ya been but Glacier, Tetons, Yellowstone, Beartooth, Blackhills makes a great trip. As does Arches, Canyonlands, Brice, Zion, Monument Valley, Grand Canyon. If ya are thinking closer check out 49, 89, 36, 299, 3, lost coast, 1. I might even be up for a ride???

Just came back from a ride to Fort Bragg and Shelter Cove. Took 16 to 20 then 101 to 1..

I have no time frame or deadline. So if the trip was a week or a month it doesn't matter.

I was reading about people doing a ride to Alaska and back.. Not sure.. Just dreams.. First time in a long time that I don't have anything holding me back.

Was also thinking of doing a giant circle. Just not sure...

Cross country here I come. I'm thinking of going to see the Harley Davidson Museum in WI and see if I can get a tour of the plant.

Leave Sept 1st.. Pictures and details will be provided of trip. Daily check in.

Got to love technology. Anyways any issues anyone can see or perhaps some of you live on the way and can advise of possible weather issues.

Thank you all for the ideas. Might try an Iron Butt thing on way there..

Lots to see going east. Take your time, but I don't know when winter starts in Wisconsin? I know it starts early and ya don't want to caught in it... Plan a southern route coming back! Enjoy!!!
