If you haven't been to tail of the dragon yet in North Carolina you must go. Rode from Canada (just above North Dakota) to TOD and back.
If you do make the trip and are staying we stayed at fontanna village resort. Highly recommend it- expensive but it's up in the mountains isolated and 10 miles from TOD. The TOD is 11 miles 318 curves. You ride the TOD then another 11 miles gets you to the resort. The road to it is almost as nice. So many beautiful highways around there- you cannot go wrong!
