2007 SE Ultra: No roll on throttle response?
I have been told by my dealership, the "torque smoothing calibration," has been updated.
The bike is a stock 1800 SE Ultra, and seems to perform no better than a stock 1600.
The problem appears to be that, 1/3 of the throttle movement, creats all the power the bike has. Opening the throttle the rest of the way, makes no difference.
Apart from improving the exhaust and air intake, the dealership seems at a loss, as to why the bike is under performing!

Decided to let the dealer sort it, with HD racing breather kit, set toa racing setting, to accommodate SE pipes, (slightly modified, with a partly removed baffle plate). They say it nowperformes right up to their expectations.I haven't had a chance to test the bike yet, will keep you posted?

The work is completed, with SE pipes and SERT. It runs much better, and the throttle responds right through. It has good torque from 2000 rpm, which luggs the bike in the higher gears, so don't go there, itseems a little low on HP, further up. I get 230 miles on a tank, or 46per gallon, to me, this seems too high. The dealership didn't have the equiptment to tune the bike. They used the HD reccomended setting, for the mapping. I like the pipes, and enjoy not having to wear plugs.
Question is: Are 2007 production SE pipes, withthe baffle plate partly wedged open, adequate?

Did you get a high flow A/C as well? That is pretty good gas mileage, I have only 300 miles on mine, and I get no where near that. Probably only mid to high 30's, but I have not officially calculated it yet.
Try to get it tuned at 1,000 miles by a reputable dealer.

It does have a H\F A\C. I have done over 2000 miles,it has probably loosened up by now. Off to another place with a dyno, andcheck the mixtures, H\P etc.Any further work, will have to go to another dealership, that hasa dyno, and H\D support.
Will keep you posted!

I have an '07 ultra eagle,w/ 1100 miles on it, added se tuner, rhinehart tru-dual, hi-flo and dyno came in at 97 hsp, 117ft.tq. I live in sw ks elevation of 3,200ft. Bike is a monster....no throttle concerns here other than not enough straight hi-ways to open it up....my dealer mentioned if I would change the cam itcould probably have 120hsp and 135ft.tq., I afraid the carbon fiber belt might fail if I cam it!!! Anyone out there cam a 110" yet?? Also, are cvo engines perfect fit parts or are they adjustable?? (i.e. push rods)....

Have the numbers now. HP 90 and TQ 105, which seems low. Was toldduring the test,air-fuel mix is seriously lean between 2-3000rpm,at (15), rest of range seems close to (13), been told that's ok. Stillunable to make adjustments and improve settings. I will need to travel much further, toget the SERT mapped properly.
