Has anyone installed the Magic Strobe BCM Brake Light Flasher and what are your thoughts. Do all of the strobe features work with the 2018 CVO brake light?

 

I have the Custom Dynamics Brake light flasher on my 18 CVO RG. It has something like 7 or 8 settings for different flash patterns. Works just fine.

First thing I install on a bike.

 

Put it on my wife's 13 sg along with all their led lights and it works great, really grabs your attention if riding behind her. Haven't bought it for my 16 cvo but am thinking about it.

 

how do you change the patterns..also can you turn it off?

 

I put a Bright *** Light on mine...mainly because I had one I kept off my trade in. 20+ patterns. I did install the Custom Dynamics flash module for the tour pack lights. Simple install. 9 or 10 patterns including “do nothing”. If they work the same way, the unit has a rotary switch you use to select what pattern you want to use.

 

I installed CD brake light flasher on my 18 Ultra Limited Low. It has 10 flashing settings. You can select the settings by turning the small ****. If you have a small screwdriver works better. (there is a slot.) To turn it off you would have to disconnect it. I set mine at 4 flashes and then steady. (the lowest setting) I want to be seen, not annoying. Also installed LED tail lights

 

Thanks for the responses. My only concern was this statement on Custom Dynamics website. "Utilize the more rapid strobe patterns by upgrading the center taillight to a Custom Dynamics® LED Squareback or Laydown rear center taillight." Just wanter to make sure all of the strobe patterns worked on the CVO OEM brake light.

 

just know that the tour pack center lights will require a separate modulator for it to function. That is a different part number, and I believe it to be around $60.

 

Installed on mine, they are great, however as stated tour pack requires a different part.

 

Bad news guys: Neither Harley or Custom Dynamics has a module to make a CVO Tour Pack flash other then they way it comes stock. At least they didn't for my 2013 Flhtcuse8. Maybe the 14 - up are different, I didn't ask.
