Until the cat is dead and will stop up, they usually don't smoke. Most people ride off before they smoke for a brief period mid way of the cat heating up.

Just my opinion. I purchased a new Ford and it was using a quart of oil ever tank of gasoline. The mother ship missed all the valve seals on one side. (Probably a Monday morning engine

) It never smoked

2017 cvo’s are known to have oil pump issues. Harley upgraded the oil pump in mid 2019. Take it in to get checked out. Don’t grenade the motor.
