Default 10k mile update-135 motor

I just turned 10k miles on the crate motor I had swapped last November on my CVO RG. Still happy with it, no desire to tinker with it beyond the factory settings. Since I posted the 5k review back in March, I’ve taken it on another 2400 mile road trip, ridden it in hot summer temps and been up and down the higher east coast mountains. No mechanical issues, bike sounds amazing and gas mileage has improved by 2 or 3 mpg. It’s a lazy torque monster, you can put along all day with 80 mph arriving at 3k rpm and vicious acceleration is just a throttle twist away. Looking forward to many more miles on this bike!

So you are still stock? SE tuner with the dealer tune/map, etc? I don't have near that mileage on mine yet... still stock and runs well but I think it's a bit lean, I also live at 7k feet.

Yes, running on factory map with harley headers and extreme ventilator, running good for me.

Excellent. Hope you do a 50,000 review. I’m only at 6,000 and 3,000 on my big motors.

I am using a regular Ventilator, not the Extreme, and have a D&D Boarzilla pipe.

Do you have a twin cooled bike or a center cooled bike? The pipes might be fine but the regular ventilator does not flow enough air for the big motor.

Great to hear.

This is an upgrade I have had in the back of my mind for my CVO SG “Ultra Limited Wannabe” once I click past 100k miles….

Glad to hear it performs well in Touring mode. Looks like this is the way to go.

It is twin-cooled. The shop foreman at the dealership is the one that installed the crate motor and he said that the regular ventilator was enough but perhaps you are right... I would not know how to check other than a dyno. I do live at 7k feet so oxygen/air density is somewhat lean here so maybe that cleaner would be a better choice.

Mine is a twin cooled as well, the regular ventilator is not enough. You eather need the extreme ventilator or the wedge. Get it swapped and remapped and your bike will run a heck of a lot better,
