Default New Raven Fade CVO Road Glide

I just bought a 2025 FLTRXSE in Raven Fade. I pick it up Saturday. It has been several years since I owned a Harley and couldn’t resist this one any longer. I’ll post pics when I get it. The only accessory I added to the deal was the King Tour Pack.

What are y’all’s opinions about the seat? I keep hearing it feels terrible. If so, I’m thinking maybe a CVO Sundowner or maybe trying to get MCC to rework the stock seat. What did you guys do?

Any other tips or tricks I should know?

I have a 2024 Copperhead and I believe it's the same seat. It's fine for me and my wife. We've put 7400 miles on it and it's not bad.

As an old fart who demands a rider backrest, the 2025 CVOs don’t accept a rider backrest, so if you want one, you’ll need to change the seat. Otherwise, roll on.

Well that settles it. I definitely like to ride with a back rest. Looks like I’ll be swapping it out.

I am a big fan of Mustang seats and especially Mustang backrests, and if you decide you want Mean City Cycles to rework it, they will.

I put an HD Hammock seat on my Road Glide. To this day, still the most comfortable seat I've ever had.

Two or three times I contacted MCC to work on CVO seats that I had. They told me that they don't do them because the seat pan is a little different. The last time that I contacted them was three years ago. I can't say if they do them now.

I ordered a Corbin Dual Tour seat today. I got the rider backrest and the matching backrest for the sissy bar. Had them embroider “CVO” into it. I’ve read nothing but great things about Corbin so I figured it’s a safe bet. If I don’t like it I can always sell it. I need a seat made for tall dudes and I didn’t like anything else I looked at.

Now I gotta wait for the aftermarket to come out with some Scorched Chrome slip-ons.
