XM with iPod
When I was in the process of negotiating to buy my 2011 FLHXFE-2 I was told the bike came with both the iPod harness in the right saddle bag as well as with XM. Upon delivery it was realized there is no XM
. The dealer appropriately agreed to install the XM module on their nickel. I'm a happy camper until... I was told by the mechanic that there is not enough room in the fairing for the XM module. Harley reports "they are working on it" and it will be resolved sometime within the next year.
I'm looking for a more immediate resolution. I am considering getting a Garmin 660 with XM. My question is this. Is there a way to push the XM signal from the Garmin through the inboard sound system either via the Garmin's bluetooth capability or to hardware into the inboard system?
Thanks...

This has been discussed in depth on the cvo harley forum. www.cvoharley.com. Do a search in the flhxse2 section for xm and sesg2 and you will get loads of info. Basically you need to purchase everything that it would take to install into a 2010 and you will need to add the 6B connector to the fairing harness to get it all to work. You will also have to mount the XM module someplace other than on top of the radio since the IPOD module and amp are already there. Here are some links to get you started. I will be doing the install over the winter on my '11 SESG2.

mjb is right it can be done, I have a 2011 CVO S.G and according to Harley X.M was not available but my dealer installed it for me. Btw X.M installs easily on a regular 2011 S.G. I was also told there was no plug and play available on the CVO's unlike the regular 2011 S.G

ultraroad, you were told correctly that XM is a plug and play on a regular SG, but is a "no fit" on the SESG2; even HD's website P&A information says XM, and Navigation Interface Module won't fit the SESG2. And as we've learned, there are work arounds to deal with the electrical issue (no 6B connector) and space issue.
My local dealer required the assistance of a senior Parts and Accessories manager to successfully install the NIM on an SESG2, and the key was supplying the 6B connector.
