In the warm to hot riding season your probably going to here a good bit of pinging. Ya got to get rid of the cat and get a fuel management system.

I have the 2010 Street Glide with over 3000 miles on her and no issues whatsoever. The only motor work I had done was a remap after exhaust install. The only issue I had was the heat it produced when I first got her. That was due to it being lean from the factory which was taken care of with the remap.

Default My 2 Cents

I have a SEUC3 and 08 Screaming Eagle Ultra and love it. I did a few things to it before it left the dealer. I had the rear suspension lowered 1 inch with the new air shocks. Narrowed the seat so my feet would sit flat on the ground, put on Reinhart True Duals, Stage One, SERT, and not to be left out a complete HawgWired System. It has had all the Harley recalls done for oil leak, new heads and seals etc. I have not had any real issues with the bike. No oil leak but did do the recall. My only complaint is the throttle hesitation that the dealer said a remap would fix. BS. I keep bringing this up anytime I am at the dealers to get it on record. I do most of the services myself but take it in on the biggies..10K and will take it back on 20K. etc. Of the things I have done I would recommend to do pipes, stage one, and race tuner. These things make it sound and perform like a Harley. The other stuff is just personal. I livei in CO and Stage One Makes it perform better due to the altitude here. This is my last bike I will buy because I am not a fan of the new chassis as the bike is heavy enough as it is. Oh yes, I also added the tru trak brace for the dreaded Harley Wobble. It stiffened up the frame and helped the roadability. I also did not want the fatter rear tire. I like the looks of the earlier model as compared to the newer model.

Anyone have a CVO either new or several years old and not have problems?
I really do not want to spend this kindd of $ and have problems. I am getting it for my last bike and plan on touring most of the time.
Dream is to ride not sit by the road or be at the shop every week.
Let me know what you guys have experienced.
Thanks
Oh yea some guy over in the touring section called me a RUB when I started a thread telling everyone that I put my money down on one.
Did not know what a rub was so I had to ask--rich urban biker??I am a roofer. Some rub huh!!!!
Dude,I say go for it!! My first order of advice is to cool it down, with a new exhaust, fuel management(I would use the TTS) ,& good tune by a reputable Indy!!!

Larry, your 09 had the lifter/valvetrain noise? or worse yet, lifter failure?
Nice to hear of some good news if not. 12k on mine thus far.

No problems with my 08 SE3 after all the recalls. Harley finally put on complete new jugs and the latest heads with the latest gaskets. Runs great, no oil issues. Installed the TTS tuner, that's the way to go, what a difference in performance !!
