Anyone lowered thier Softail Convertable?? Wife is wanting to lower hers, I know it already comes low from the factory, but she doesnt like the way the rear fender sits up a little high off the tire. If you have done this, how is the ride??? Pics would be nice also.

 

Nevermind,the guys on another CVO forum chimed in and its probably not a good idea because of the floorboards. Would of looked better though.

 

Just did mine with progressive 422 1.5 lower . Ride is alot better ." Scraped the boards anyway' No pictures yet.

 

Ok, so how easy do the boards touch now?? Do you have to get real aggressive in the corners?? Pics would be great, especially the rear fender close ups, thanks.

I can't imagine it being any lower only because of the floor boards. I just took a 1300 mile trip up Highway 1 and back. Even stock they scraped so much I found it very unsettling. I agree it would look cool but it only has a 26 degree lean angle stock. Even after 40+ years of riding I still like a spirited pace.
