Default 1981 comfort flex seat frame install

Notice it is different than the older styles bear trap. Notice it has different springs and how it mounts. There were like 7 of these sold

My 1982 FLH came with the "comfort flex" very similar to yours. I found it to be very uncomfortable , iam 6'2'' so i found you sat on the bike, not in the bike, so i couldnt really relax. Two up with my Mrs she is 5'2" 8 stone and found there was not enough room. So after stuffing around and nearly loosing my fingers twice i replaced said seat with a mustang and oiled up the frame of the comfort flex wrapped it up and stored it under the house......................nice looking FLT by the way

You do Not see many RubberGlides with the Bear Trap!!! Highly sought after. And yes quite different from the 4-speed Bear Trap...

The seat is a big improvement, but still a little tight two up. I don’t feel like a grasshopper anymore sitting on it. The weather is not cooperating- hurricane Delta is rolling in. I will post a review tomorrow when clears up on how it rides
