Default pressure checking '82 intake manifold

I made a pressure test to see if my intake manifold has any leaks. So far it hasn't. It holds 30 psi of air for 25 seconds.

Not a fan of those clamps, several reasons. Might have to loosen them when the carb goes on and the supports bolted down solid, see if they stay true.

I already made sure that the carb bolts back on with lined up holes.

Slick version of a proven traditional tester, especially wise choice with the cast intake clamps since they don't spring. (You got a good set. We had a customer none of whose four pieces would match the bolt holes and clamping areas!)
Is that plate UHMW?
Did you fab the filter housing supports? I like those and the welds are on point.

I work at a machine shop that has plenty of aluminum and uhmw plate. I drew the uhmw plate and had it cut out on a water jet. its just for shovelheads. If you want one just leave your address and ill make you one. it works. I drew up the aluminum pieces in cad as well and machined them out of a hunk of aluminum. I then had the round pieces made and a guy ay work who welds aluminum welded them for me and then cleaned them up. Finding someone to weld aluminum is hard. The 1/4 inch thick uhmw is a little flimsy. If i make another ill make it out of half inch instead.
