Default fuel

after sitting for 3 months i realised i forgot to turn the fuel tap off and now when i started it up it puked fuel out the breather. does that mean it needs new oil and filter. whats the proceedure ? thanks

It needs a lot more than that. Don't try to start it. You'll need to get all the gas and oil out of the engine then put on a new filter, drain and refill the oil tank and crank it over several times to cycle fresh oil through the engine. Then do another oil and filter change, install the plugs and start the engine and let if run for a couple of minutes then change the oil and filter again.

thanks my idea is to drain the oil tank. remove filter, remove return line, fill tank, no filter crank engine till old flushed then fit filter and new oil

When a friend did that, we pulled the timing plug and laid it on it's side to help evacuate the bottom end..plus all pointed out above..Me?? I pull the Cone Cover...she will drain then!!
