How did you wire the LEDs? Are you using the LED with a RBT module? Without knowing how your wired the LEDs, it sounds like you probably need a load equalizer. I use a RBT module on my LED single element bag lights but still run my stock lights with no equalizer.

Try contacting forum sponsor DK Customs and let them know your issues. They are very helpful and responsive. They have RBT modules and load equalizers if these are the issues.

your iron doesn't need a RTB module because there are only two lights back there. load equalizer is more likely. are you goiing to add front turns... i hope so.

can you post a link to the ebay'd lights?

okay,

so you hard wired them to the connectors? you didn't do any chopping and twisting, right?

like this?
.....that led me to this thread:
https://www.hdforums.com/forum/4277699-post1092.html
which lead me to this video:

followed the advice and made the tool from a paper clip and a [s]ledge hammer. it popped the wire right out... no destruction of wires and introducing gremlins into my system.

Not sure why it would. I have separate wires that go to the socket housing that's how I connect them to the turn signals. Is there anyway I could just make them draw more amprage so the brakes work?

that's what the load equalizer does, in a way. i wanted to see what you used and how you wired everything up. funky connections can cause issues too.

just crossing things off the list.

some newer bikes have auto equalization/learning that eliminates the need for equalizers. in most cases, just doing either front or rear, alone, don't trigger a need for add-ons. when both are done, the need arises. your missing fronts or probably causing the issue or you wiring may be off.

once you eliminate all those issues as possible causes, then break out your wallet.

how would you feel if you rushed to buy a "solution" and installed it... only to find that the problem still existed? not good, right? take your time.

it's still early, others will chime in. you can call/email DK customs (or other) like mentioned above. your choice.

The above is from the 2009 Sportster Service Manual. I wonder if it is correct or maybe I'm reading it wrong because to me it would seem like your bike would also have the rear lights configured the same as the XL1200N. From what I can gather from the wiring diagrams, the bike that uses 2 lights for run/brake/turn has a Tail Lamp Converter Module. I'm assuming that the module then decides whether a blub element needs to flash as a turn signal or remain on solid for a brake light. You might also try checking the light outputs at the wiring harness connector usually at the front of the rear fender. Good luck and post what you find.
