Default Anyone running a Fuel Pack 3 on a stock set up?

Found out I had over 500 bucks in points from my purchase of the 16 RGS. So I grabbed a few things. And the fuel pack.

Question is. How much of a difference disability you notice. I loaded the map today and will be going for a ride tomorrow. Will be turning on the auto tune. Read a lot and am pretty confident on dialing it in. Just curious about results.

Love the idea I can just change parts open the app on my phone and flash my ecm.

You'll like it a lot. It'll improve a stock setup nicely and fatten up the mixture a bit to cool things down slightly too.

Default Stock FLHTK

I ran a FP3 on my stock FLHTK. Ran a number of auto tunes which just dialed everything in. Bike ran cooler with a little more get up and go, main difference was how smooth it ran. I've since installed headers and slip-on mufflers. Really like how the FP3 allows map changing and auto tunes based in the setup.

I'm curious as to warranty implications if something goes south and the dealer pins it on the Fuel Pack?

No worries there. The only way that would happen is if the FP3 really did cause the failure and that would be a burned piston or valve do to a very lean condition or timing. V&H (as the other tuner companies) have proven maps that will not cause damage. But if you went into the settings and changed things like AFR, spark timing, VE's and rev limit, then it's your dime if you blow a motor.

I have an FP3 on my stock bike but I rarely run the V&H tune. Granted, the bike runs great on it but it drops my fuel mileage about 20%.

I did this on mine for about a week or so before I put the exhaust on and could still notice a good improvement ... MUCH better after the exhaust though. I only did it cause it was easier to do than tear into the exhaust and was dying to try out one of my new toys. I forget what map I used stock, but I know I didn't use the Pro Pipe map until I actually put it on.

The dealership was where I bought it. The parts guy was all about the fp3 over the sert. He's been riding 45 years and is what every dealer needs. No matter what I ask he has an answer. The guys been around and knows his bikes. He told me the dyno guys in the back were not happy they started stocking them because it cut 3 hours off the dyno time when they used them. I think if had any effect on warranty he would have told me. When I bought this bike a month ago he was there discussing the pros and cons of my choices. He knows me. And he knows I'm not the type you could sell ice in a blizzard. He's ditching his PC5 now that they make the fp3 for his older twin cam.

I'm heading out in a few to do a 50 mile run before I meet up with a friend to take a ride for lunch.

One thing I noticed already is its richer. Soon as I started it up in the shed the exhaust smelled richer. Never smelled it previous to this.

I wonder what the AFR is on this base map as compare to stock Harley AFR.

First auto tune run this morning. Seemed a perfect time. Sunday early. And I'm out in farmland but close to the interstate. Was able to hit some good WOT runs. 4th gear @ 6000rpm is 105 mph BTW. 3rd is 85ish.

This was my first ride with the new base map and like others stated. It will sputter at first. It did. After the first 500' it acted right. I tried different things. 45mph 2nd for a mile. 3rd for a mile. 4th for a mile and so on. Picked up a lot of cells. I loaded the new map and will keep the auto tune on for a while.
