Looks.like you have 4+ over front forks on there hopefully that frame neck has not been modified for a "chopper look".

No, the neck is stock, i got all parts wrapped in bubbleplastic with the bike, perhaps one month of riding weather left around here, then the fun can begin.

well, went for the first ride on it this weekend....one thing for sure, its fast....amazing how well the engine performs in a light bike instead of a touring bike....second those late 80's keihin carbs suck!!! lol...lots of coughing and pretty bad hesitation from idle to mid, runs fine when going, but I had that same response on the fltc till I switched to a super e....the last thing is, any bike that ive had that is sporty does not fit me at all...the mid controls and buckhorn bars make that bike feel like its made for a 5' tall person....its so original though I really don't want to start messing with it.

A CV carb will look close to stock and will perform infinitely better. They can be had for fairly cheap.

u know...I did a lot of searching this morning about the cv carb swap....I feel like it takes a lot of little pieces to do it right and it really starts to add up....
most don't come with the choke assembly, choke bracket, carb support bracket, 2 bolt adapter, stage 1 performance kit, and the carb itself (which I couldn't find for less than $100, and it wasn't to trustworthy looking)...I do want the stock look, but man....s&s comes complete.
