So I am having an issue whenever I ride 2-up now. If I have my step son on the back, I get a check engine light, but when I have my girl on the back, I get all sorts of everything. Check engine light, ABS light, red idiot light, and the speedo will fluctuate. I have checked everything to make sure I'm not rubbing wiring, and the battery terminals are tight. Anyone else had this issue?

Just heard back from dealer, lifter(s) is bad. Been replaced.

I've asked them to check crank runout too while it's apart, for reference. Hopefully have it back by Tuesday.

Pretty disappointing on a bike a few months old, but that's what warranty is for I suppose.

Hello everyone, I've just joined up today.

Have been following this thread for a while now.

I bought my lowrider s new in May last year and it has been pretty much trouble free apart from a couple of minor issues which have been rectified under warranty without any drama, so far I have done 25,500 klm's and totally happy with bike, it's a little bit concerning to hear that others have had some bigger problems ie: lifters, crank scissoring etc.
My problems have been minor with one of the stock heat shields cracking and the stock k&n air cleaner metal body cracking as well, both items were replaced under warranty by my local dealer without questions.

I don’t know much about Dynas. I’m looking for a “ducktail” fender for my LRS. What year/model Dyna fender should I be looking for? Thanks!

Anybody runnning the Bassani RR III? I'm very tempted to get it in that stainless.. mmmmmmm.

Also, pretty sure i know the answer.. but wide glide sissy bar? Will it fit on the FXDLS? I cant find anything else similar to the way it looks.

Here she is.. not much change yet but i feel like a proud dad!

I have the Bassani RR III stainless exhaust and love it! Took a bit to figure out the heatshield placement. Wanted to run with no heat shield but they get blazing hot. Burned hole in my jeans (well, two holes) and melted part of my boot heel but I finally got it figured out. They are well worth it! There’s a picture of my bike earlier in this thread.

For those of you who have changed your handlebars.

The grips i have on mine are the 1.5" diameter's and they feel too thick - giving me a sore clutch hand. Browsing Harley's parts, the only grips that seems to come for the fxdls are the same as the touring range (i guess cause of the tbw) and all are 1.5".

Are there any other options out there?

I have the road rage 3 on mine, great quality and nice deep bark when your on it. Probably the nicest sounding pipe I've had.

anyone run some adjustable pre-load fork tops in their FXDLS?

Thinking of grabbing the speed merchant one as a short term measure. The brake dive is getting a bit severe.

Got to make up my mind regarding rear shocks too. (13 inch)

Legend Revo-A
Ohlins HD215
Ohlins 764 (blackline)

I'm looking at you Mchad.... what you think?

This is a big $$$$ item so I want to get it right first time, once you factor in shipping and import taxes I'm gonna have to sell a kidney

Speed Merchant is good kit. Should get you by until you want to dive all the way in. Ohlins is top notch also. Are you looking to do cartridges or full front suspension?

I went with ODC 13.5” piggybacks and an ODC inverted front suspension. If rode other bikes with their products and absolutely love it. I’ll give a detailed review once I get the bike back together and have some miles on the new equipment.
