man that's sexy.

Ideally I'd love to get the Nix22 cartridge from Ohlins but unless I rob a bank or win the lotto it's just not gonna happen. I'm getting married next year and the missus seems to be ticking all the option boxes haha.

I really like the looks of the ohlins 215's, particularly with the battleship grey paint I have planned for the bike I think it will look trick.

Howard from motorcycle metal is good to deal with. Very knowledgeable.

I hear ya. Best to keep the women folk happy! This definitely gets to be an expensive hobby.

I’m already getting parts together for an FXR twin cam build once I finish the Dyna this winter!

I'm looking at you Mchad.... what you think?

This is a big $$$$ item so I want to get it right first time, once you factor in shipping and import taxes I'm gonna have to sell a kidney
Just slapping on SM preload adjusters wont work with the LRS cartridge set up. Just fyi.

Hey all,

Just had full retail trade offer on my 2011 FXDC, managed to bump that up to a nice $10k in trade offer with the extras on the bike. I told them I would buy the LRS at $16k OTD so waiting for a couple of dealers to get back. It would be a nice buy for me, basically $6k for the swap out. There are a few LRS bikes at local dealers and they havent moved since new. I'm sure they wont want to pay the extra tax due at the end of the year if they are still on the showrooom floor. Fingers crossed.

I've read that it will indeed work since the cartridge performs the same function as a spring...just in a different funtion, but that the PL will still work.

that being said, the vendor I got mine from said it WILL work and lists them for the FXDLS and the mechanic i have installing them (i'm deployed and he's getting some stuff done for me for when i get back) says it will work as well and that he has installed them before on an FXDLS.

I have no personal experience yet. We shall see.

That was the plan, but I was offered a really good opportunity of work so I decided to halt the exile and just travel back and forth a little more. Work will now be between Seattle and Denver and I figure I will visit home every few months as my parents are getting on a bit and I miss my family.

Well bike is back together and he a unique look I rather enjoy. Still want to relocate gauges to bars and put a taller shield with recurve on but it's fun and bike serves it's purpose. Paints not perfect but first time painting a bike I'm pleased.
