I've read that it will indeed work since the cartridge performs the same function as a spring...just in a different funtion, but that the PL will still work.
that being said, the vendor I got mine from said it WILL work and lists them for the FXDLS and the mechanic i have installing them (i'm deployed and he's getting some stuff done for me for when i get back) says it will work as well and that he has installed them before on an FXDLS.
I have no personal experience yet. We shall see.
thanks. Keep me updated with how it goes please.
I I got my lucky daves seat today. Very nice bit of gear can't wait to try it out.
Also ordered the ohlins HD 215's from Howard at motorcycle mayhem. That one stung the wallet but should be worth it.
Ouch that is a pinch on the wallet but much better than buying locally and hopefully you won't wonder if there's anything better available. Make sure you post an update and pics etc. All the best
That's my bike. The fairing in that picture is a 39mm Ness (p/n 06-041) fairing modified by Southeast Customs. They call it the Ness OG. I picked mine up for $100 bucks from a forum member, but if you are interested I can tell you the way to build it for about $100-$150 less than what SE customs charges.
Can you show me or upload some pictures how it was built . I want mines mounted just like how yours is ? I been trying to figure it out but its been difficult because most people have this fairing on 39mmThanks

That is a link to page four of the fairings sticky on this forum which is how I home built it for my old fxdc. The only hard part may be the headlight relocation which I had to mill. The pictures should give you a general idea. Everything else can be purchased and with a little ingenuity, I'm sure you can figure it out.
Does anyone know of another opinion instead of the stock throttle. The tbw has such a long travel to get to wot n I hate it. I really hope someone makes a 1/2 or 1/4 turn for the tbw models
After a year of owning her, I am finally where I want to be with her (Maybe a couple last things I would like to do) but for now as she sits.. patiently waiting for warmer weather..
