The pump runs and stops as normal. I assume it is building pressure. Wouldn't it keep running if it couldn't build pressure?
I believe what he is referring to is the tendency of the fuel lines in the tank to develop pin holes blowing bubbles thus reducing fuel pressure out put . As I mentioned this would be highly coincidental to develop and cause a no fuel issue right after a bar change if there were no issues before.
Coincidental stuff seems to happen every time an upgrade is done. I'd also pull the plugs apart and make sure none of the pins slid back when you connected them.
Ok. So I am an idiot. I thought I heard the fuel pump. Not sure what little hum I was listening to. No sound from in the tank. So no fuel pump.
fuses are good. I wiggled the connector under the console. Pump kicked on once. Then not again. Not sure what is going on now. I don't see how the pump could due in the tank sitting for 2 months.
Glad you found it and it turned out to be a free fix! You should post some photos of your work. Out of curiosity, do you have to remove the tank to change the bars, or is it just easier to do that way?
