Nylocks would be fine for the plate mount but I'd probably use standard nuts and Loctite for the fender struts. The stock fender appears to mount using some type of bracket with weld nuts on the inside of the fender. Did you have to discard that bracket or am I misunderstanding something?
Check with your dealer for the tape.
Other than the potential mess, I've never encountered a downside to using connector grease.

man all these setups look like **** to me. I got a real nice looking one thats lit up really nicely. i didnt install it but glad the person that had it before me did. I gotta get a pick of it.
Cggorman i did not remove the inside bracket. The relocation frame is sandwhiched between the inside fender and bracket. The holes are big enough to slip over the boss, what the instructions called it anyways.
im not sure if i worded it wrong but i was saying its a metal and plastic bracket. The wires sit in the plastice groove and then its tapped for added security.
saltlick what relocation kit did you get? And pics of others installed if you dont have one?

I just used a couple L brackets to mount my rear turns to the back side of the license plate, and ran the wires down behind it into the taillight assembly on my '13 Super Glide. Sure, the wires show, for about an inch and a half, which is BARELY noticeable, even when looking at it. Plus, I think it's WAY better than spending hundreds on one of those "kits", since the L brackets I got were about $5-10 for both, and maybe could be gotten from a hardware store for even less.
