If you want to, then there are many ways to do it. It just depends on how much you want to spend.
You can pick up a SE ignition module and plug it in and that will be a decent upgrade. Inexpensive and easy. But looking at what you've done to your other bikes, I suppose you don't mind spending money on getting some good stuff. Best of luck.
Is that module still available? Do you have a P/N? I’m finding alot of stuff I look for is NLA.
Mchad if you want one of those I have one with seven pin connectors that you can have for the cost of shipping.
I wouldn't bother if I were you as the Dynatek is a far better ignition than the Screaming Eagle one. That's why I have one in the drawer collecting dust.
Depends on which SE ignition module you have. The 32654-98 has 4 selectable curves just like the dyna 2ki. I am currently running one in my 77 Shovel.. Works great... Also I spoke with the guys at Dynatek about my specific SE ignition module and I was told that yes back in the day Dynatek was making the ignition modules for Harley SE... I also Heard the Ultima is a rebranded Dyna 2ki...

Thanks, I really appreciate the offer. I think I’ll eventually go for the dynatek 2000.

Any reason not to go with the 'i' model other then price that is? Or mounting the unit outside the cam chest better for cooling?
I live in hot as hell Phoenix. Years ago I had a Crane that mounted in the cam chest. First time out on a 'warm' summer day it tripped off when it overheated and it would have to cool off to get rolling again. A bit pissed when Crane told me that was working as designed. I believe it's best to keep those electronics cooler under the side panel. Easier plug n play as well.
Daytona Twin Tec might be worth a look if you haven't already bought one.
