Default First Harley, first mods help!

Hey guys. Finally got rid of the Triumph and picked up my first Harley. 18 FHLRXS. Going in today to order some accessories and such to have covered under factory warranty. Just looking for opinions on the HD versions, or if there is something I should go aftermarket with, mods I am not thinking about etc. So far I have rear crash bars in front of bags, passing lamps with turn signal relocation and HD LED inserts, HD or Kurakyn LED headlight, freight train headlight cover extension, usb charger ran in front of gas tank (for phone later). I'm on the fence about the $500 HD Led headlight over say hogwerks for $250. Also thinking about a set of slip ons and maybe a driver backrest. Thanks guys! Obligatory pics.

If ordering genuine HD parts, you can save quite a bit using Boardtracker, Surdyke, or New Castle. Even if your dealer has a rewards program, you’ll probably still come out ahead. All parts are subjective, but for the LED headlight, I would recommend the JW Speaker 8700 Evo 2. It is the next generation of the HD Daymaker and is available for around $300. Check out this comparison...

Is that JW plug and play? I dont mind working on stuff, but a new bike under warranty, I would rather not cut and splice. Thanks for the advice though, I'll check it out

If the newer RK is like my 14 you'll need an adapter to plug the headlamp in. They sell them on EBAY or here is where I got mine.

Scroll down to H8/11 lo and hi beam to H4. This info is for my 14 and for your new bike may vary. I simply refused to cut the harness as well and this is what is found.

I hope this helps.

Oh and really like the color of your bike.

Im with you bud. Im plenty mechanically inclined, went to school for it and worked in a restoration shop for years etc. Still don't want to cut and splice into a new harness heh. I will end up going with the Evo 2 instead of the daymaker, just got to do some research and see if its a simple bolt on and P/P with the harness. Saved me a few hundred bucks, thanks guys
