The bike has still been sitting since I changed the plugs since I haven't had a chance to ride yet. Well being 70F here today and I found the rest of my tools (boot remover and gap tester), I lifted the tank off again and removed the plugs to check the gap. Also, with the help of the Lisle boot remover, it was all a breeze.
The gap on the plugs coming right out of the box ranged from 0.028" all the way to 0.042", and the spec is 0.031" to 0.035".
hmmm...so it started right after a good outdoor soaking eh...maybe just remove, clean it out and reinstall with new gasket..not that much work..probably a long shot, just weird
re: "it squeaks and “puffs” with each intake stroke"
you have to realize your providing such easy material to work with right!
Ok, late last week I cleaned the heavy breather air filter, then again, and again until it no longer had any dirt coming out of it (yes, three full washes to get it clean). Let it dry overnight and the next day, then oiled it and installed it. Four hours later, I was ready to ride. No more squeaking or huffing!
Well, after two years and almost 20,000 miles I'm ready to bite the bullet on Legends Revo-A shocks. I'm wishing I would have bought these a few months ago instead of a Discount ESP!!!
Question: I'll be going to Sturgis again this year. Does Legends offer up any steep discounts during the rally?

Usually just free installs... At least in Daytona.
Thanks, Dan. I've got Myrtle Beach bike week coming up here in a week so I'll check things out there first. If all they ever do is just free install, I'll pull the trigger now and do it. If they'll have bigger savings in Sturgis I'll wait.

I know you didn't ask, but unless you've got something special going on that brings you to Myrtle Beach just avoid that rally. It's pretty much crap now. We don't even go to it anymore and live only 100 miles away.

Lets meet in Sturgis though...
Lol I do appreciate the advice. I’m living in Augusta, GA for the year and figure while I’m out here I’ll stop by the rally since it’s only a couple hours. I’ve been heading to the beach every few weeks so it won’t really be a waste of time if it sucks.
