Default fuel question for M8 107

Aloha,
I've been running supreme 92 (10%ethanol) as that's what the mechanic at the dealership told me to use in my '17 Road King special. Lately friends have been telling me to run ethanol free 89 ( highest ethanol free gas available here) They're telling me it's better for my engine, fuel lines etc. Would appreciate guidance here before I switch . ( I ran 92 with ethanol in my old bike for years with no issue)
Mahalo!

Octane is octane. Manual calls for 91. In Michigan, we either get 89 or 93. I use 93. I don't have the patience or the neurosis to only use ethanol free, and I've never had a problem with my bikes. . If you ride your bike, ethanol is not an issue. Only with longer term inactivity, and thats why fuel stabilizers were invented.

Run at least 91 octane.

However, you live in Hawaii. Its a bit more practical for you to know where ethanol free gas is, because multi-state trips are a bit more complicated for you.

So I'd say if you know where the ethanol free gas is (how many can there be on an island?) Knock yourself out.

edit - scratch that - use the highest octane you can find, because per my previous post, octane is octane. I thought you were asking if it made sense to find 91 ethanol free, and you dont have that (after re-reading your post)

Appreciate the input. I run efree in my small engines ( Polaris atv, weed eater, generator) but premium in my sports car and road king. I was asking because my riding Buddy ( and expert) was recommending I switch. 89 efree is readily available here, and I could add octane booster but....

Sure, but you live on a tropical island. Weather is great for riding. You have nothing to gain by running e-free 89, vs 91. I would think, especially since it gets hot in Hawaii, you'd be better off with higher octane (remember, octane is octane)

And given your weather, if your bike sits for long periods - shame on you!

The corner Petro Canada
has 94 octane and that what I use, very excellent but why not, it’s not a huge tank.

Ethanol is only a problem if you let it sit for a long time.
