Default Jackpot HiRoller Tuneable inserts

Just received the tuneable inserts for the HiRoller mufflers. I'm the type of guy that likes to know what I'm in for before I start taking things apart. Does anyone know how these get installed?

I’m interested in knowing myself,I have the high rollers myself.
I have added 22x cam to my m8,and now my bike is a little loud on a Trips.
So let us know what you come up with and how it changes the sound of the high rollers.

Just got off the phone with FM.

He said to remove the baffle (pull end capo and undo the 2 screws on the underside of the muffler). Then you locate the insert, big end to the front of the bike (it funnels down were his words), which is logical but I did appreciate the attention to detail, so that the end of the insert is about an inch from the end of the baffle. You can locate deeper if you want, the purpose is so that it is not overtly visible. You'll need to drill a hole in the baffle (1/4") so that you can bolt it in. Pack everything back up and done.

I am going to give this a go tonight. Hopefully it won't be raining too hard so that I can take it out and give it an honesty evaluation. I was thinking about taking some db readings, before and after. I may still do that.

The tech said no change in fuel mapping would be necessary.

Finally got a chance to do this today.

A few challenges. The right side muffler/baffle was a really tight fit. getting the baffle out, and then back in, while making sure the baffle retaining screw holes lined up wad a challenge. The left side was easier, so not all mufflers may be like this. Another challenge was getting the nut on the insert screw. It ends up in there a ways and is difficult to get threaded. Longer needle nose, preferably angled, helped immensely.

The tech suggested this would all be easier with the mufflers removed, but I left them on the bike. I don't have a great work bench and am space limited. With the mufflers on the bike, I removed the end caps, used some sacrificial screws in the baffle (where the end cap screws go) and a slide hammer to slide the baffle out. I didn't have to remove the baffle entirely and could drill it with the baffle only partially out of the muffler. This way I didn't have to worry about collapsing packing and such.

The results.
Before the inserts;
At idle : 86dbA
At 2000RPM 91dbA

After inserts;
At idle : 85dbA
At 2000RPM : 90dbA

Test method,
mic was 20" from muffler end at 45° from parallel / perpendicular to muffler. This follows most jurisdictional standards for vehicle exhaust noise measurement. I thought I read 200rpm, but now am reading I should have used 2500rpm. I'm not going to do it again so these results will have to work.

Locally they want 92dbA at idle and 96dbA max at 2500rpm. I think I'd have been okay either way.

The insert did take some of the boom out of the exhaust tone, making it seem quieter to a larger degree, but it's still deep and will still report when you get on the throttle. It is important that you use an 'A' weighted meter. I cannot stress this enough, because if you use a 'C' weighted meter, the low frequencies these mufflers make will be greatly overstated. Aside from a very slight change in tone and a slightly reduced volume, my bike runs so much better.

I had Dresser Duals on it with Fatshotz mufflers and the bike always seemed flat at WOT. I changed to Jackpot Superduals an HiRollers and there was a definite 'hit' in the midrange. I was pretty happy with the power increase. With the inserts, the bike now seems to pull harder than it ever has right from a stop. My bike rarely ever sees 5000rpm, and mostly shift by 4000rpm. It has better power where I ride than it ever has. I'm happy with the addition of these inserts and will be leaving things as they are for now. Very happy with the results.

If you're chasing that perfect balance without throwing money at a gamble that might not pay off, consider checking out https://nl.casinonlinenieuwe.com/ to see how other players are stacking their odds, much like we're tweaking our exhaust setups. It's all about strategy and knowing when to hold 'em.
The tunable inserts are really the key. It's not just for sound; throwing in the quieter ones really smoothed out the low-end for me and killed that decel pop without needing a full retune. It's a solid way to dial it in without messing with the baffles themselves
