Hate to say it but stock mufflers and pipes are best just scraped. If the pipes have cats cut them off and scrape separately.
I listed a bunch of stock mufflers on Market Place for $10 a set and only sold 4 sets. The rest went to scrap yard with the rest of my scrap.

 

37774 area code. Stock exhaust scrapped, no wonder it is so hard to find a stock exhaust for my '81 shovel with good chrome.

As far as the M8 exhaust the head pipe for decating and the chrome covers may be worth something.

I still have it. $100 for what I show here, looks like less than $75 for shipping, maybe $60. until I get it packed, weighed and an exact address I won't know for sure.

 

As far as stock mufflers go American Custom Exhaust in Florida likes to get them to core out and put their custom adjustable baffle system in. I ordered a set when I got my 23 FLHTK and they were the best sounding touring mufflers I had ever tried.

 

I need the heat shield for the front cylinder in chrome
