Trying to track down the death wobble. It recently started and after riding this weekend with and without a passenger, it does NOT have the death wobble with a passenger. Wife jumped off and got in a friends jeep and instantly got the death wobble again. Clearly this is a known issue but no one has been able to pinpoint a specific cause. Took it in for the 1000 mile service Saturday and told the service guys about it. They test rode the bike and said they couldn't duplicate the wobble, however upon leaving the shop and I got on the interstate it started doing it again. Mostly happens at speeds of 85+ mph. If you're going to comment on this saying "You should ride the speed limit" then don't bother even responding. I am looking for a fix for this issue if anyone has had the same problem. It is especially bad when passing multiple cars on a 2 lane road. Once the bike gets to the rear of the second car, it starts wobbling horribly.
After thinking about it, 2 weekends ago when we were riding in a group the road was rather junk (Illinois Roads) We did hit some pot holes and bottomed out a few times. I started noticing it after that weekend though. I plan on taking it to a different Harley dealer this Saturday to see if they can figure it out since the other one couldn't.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I also talked to another owner of a 2024 street glide and he has had the same issue since day 1 before putting a different windshield on it. Harley needs to do better at quality control before they end up with a lawsuit on their hands from putting out products which are dangerous. Also he said that he gets his at low speeds (35+ mph)

Have you had the bike since new, and did it death wobble in stock form?
Yes I have had the bike since new. Bought it with 5 miles on it last month. Bike currently has 1500 miles on it. It did not do it with the factory windshield or handlebars. BUT it did NOT do it when I put the new bars on and the windshield. Throwing a passenger on and the bike never wobbles. My buddy has the same bike and did upgrades to his and he never has the death wobble. Another buddy has an identical bike and has been having this issue since he picked it up brand new.
I have a buddy who is a master harley tech and he said that the new steering bearings should not need adjusted. He works at the dealership im taking it to this saturday to see what he can find out on it though. He will actually go through the whole bike like the dealership should have done last saturday which clearly they didnt...
I find it contradicting since another person I know has the same issue and has had the same issue since day 1... I honestly don't understand how some people have it while others don't.
Steerer bearing or front geometry, defective tire (front or rear), rear pivot joint. Your problem seems to go away under load, and the mechanic who test rode it is probably heavier than you.
