Default M8 idle delay

Its a 19 RK, mostly stock except for the exhaust. When I come to a stop im a couple hundred rpm's too high, but within a minute or so all is good. Any suggestions?

To reset your idle setting back turn the ignition switch on then off for a total of 10 times (do not start the engine). That should reset your original throttle position.

Another issue doing this would be an intake seal leak usually at the manifold to head seals.

Does this also happen when you’re stopped and blip the throttle?

May be a lean condition.

Haven't ridden lately, motor is stock except for the cat. Sounds like the intake seals would be the place to start.

The plastic intake manifolds on the M8 can warp from heat over time and leak. So if you do the manifold to head seals, check the manifold carefully.

Learned this morning I have a plastic intake manifold. So if I'm going that direction sounds like S&S or a competitor, haven't checked if screaming eagle sells what they should have used initially.

or did u tube inform me incorrectly

thanks, I missed your post before I posted, what's the popular intake people are going with?

a $200 aluminum tube from S&S seems pricey
