Default Tire Monitor Pain on RG3

Does anyone know how to unhook the tire monitor without getting an error message.? I would like to let some air out of the tires for a better ride. When I do, even a couple of pounds I keep getting error messages on my entertainment radio. I hate the dam thing. Rode for years and didn't have one. I know how to check my tires. Answers if anyone knows.

Sorry I can't help you, but I definitely agree with you. I hope you love the bike.

Some folks have experimented to find the PSI that’s JUST above the error code on their bike. 😉

check with a tech at you local dealer to see if they can delete or adjust the TPMS programming to lower the warning threshold.

The TPMS reading on my bike was always 3-4 lbs below the actual cold tire pressure that I checked with a proven gauge. Then, after 3 years, the TPMS reading and the true tire pressure started to read the same.

Personally, I think that TPMS should be an option you can decline when buying the bike. I have also been told that the TPMS cannot be turned off or adjusted.

Talked to service manager at dealer this morning. He said they should be able to adjust pressure lower.

Ok thanks guys. I have talked to two dealers and one say you can delete it and one says you can't. I hate the thing. I have tried 23 on mine and it came on almost immediately.
