Default tires that cup

Why does a front tire cup, causing the steering to wobble between 35-40 mph????

Tires cupping is a natural wear indication. It does not mean that your suspension or something else is wrong. Its all the tire.

How many miles on those tires?

tire air presuure if it is low it will cause you tire to cup. nothing you can do about it after it has but get a new tire. not my opinion it what they told us in the safety course.

I agree. Low tire pressure will cause the cup and 10k is the usual life span of the stock Dunlop tires although depending on riding habbits and how far you care to push them you can get 13k to 14k.

I believe cupping is caused by tire squirm on the pavement; low tire pressure, or heavy front braking, or a lot of hot curves will do it. My '84 Goldwing was notorious for cupping the front tire. I don't have that problem with the Harley's. The Goldie would wobble if you let go of the handlebars, even with a brand new tire on the front.

Usually a result of improperly inflated tire. Keep a eye on your cold tire pressures. I can normally go through two rear tires in the time it takes me to wear out one front. Metzler Marathon 880 do a nice job!

WHAT?

No tire should "cup".

Usually it is related to improper tire pressure.
