Default V.O.E.S

Hi guys. I haven't been on here in a long time. I had to reregister because my email has changed lolo. Either way, I have a 1997 Wide Glide. Here's the situation. My motor is an 87 ci, it has an Andrews 27 cam in it, 9.7:1 compression, ported and polished heads, vance and hines straight shots, jetted CV carb, Dynatek 2000i ignition module and always ran perfect!!!!!! I decided to eliminate the voes as it says you can run without it when I was replacing my rocker boxes due to peeling chrome. Since reassembly, timing perfect, 150 psi per cylinder, I cannot get this to run for the life of me! Cranks and backfires in the exhaust. Rechecked everything, tdc compression both cylinders one at a time and adjusted the pushrods where they should be etc. I am thinking I need the VOES back, but thankfully my dumb *** tossed it. Trying to find info about this is confusing at best. The part number I need is this. 26569-96 Is there any info y'all have about an aftermarket one that would work? Thanks guys. Appreciate the help before hand. Bob
