On my 2026 Street Glide Limited I sometimes hear a "clopping" noise when activating front brakes. Just did a 1,000 mile service yesterday and the dealer said nothing to worry about. Is this BS?
Caliper noise? Maybe rotor noise and yes they can be chatty due to the drilled rotors. You can chamfer the leading edge of the pads which drastically reduces it.
It's not a drilled rotor issue. The noise is, as if the caliper is not against the rotor and when you pull the brake lever, it "clops" one time against the rotor. If in stop and go traffic, it may "clop" several times as traffic inches forward. Imagine taking an empty plastic cup, turn it upside down and "clop" it down on the counter. I've had 12 motorcycles and do most of my own work and never heard the sound before. I can't guarantee it's the caliper/pad/rotor issue but can't think of anything else it could be.
I have no idea what would be causing that sound, but have you considered taking the bike back to the dealer and asking the service writer to take it for spin?
I have the same exact problem! Just dropped it at the dealer and of course they gave me a fat *** estimate for checkout, and said they will let me know if they find anything! The bike has 229 miles on it, when it does it its loud and I can feel it in the front end and the handle bars! in my opinion there is nothing normal about it. It clunks hard enough to feel it in the front end and you can hear it loud and clear they better be able to explain how it is normal and why it is happening, not just say "its normal"! Also the engine shut off on me while I was riding out of nowhere, clutched it and it fired back up, but cranked longer than normal! They gave me the same answer we will let you know if we find anything! $509 dollar estimate to look at a bike that has 229 miles and is 3 weeks old! Has your bike stalled or shut off?

Wouldn't that be a warranty item, even to check out a customer complaint, it's still a warranty issue ?
Question as I have been following this thread for curiosity. Do these bikes have front "Floating Rotors" ? That is when the rotor is not solid mounted and has a loose feel and can give a click, or even considered a bang sound when the front brake is applied.
It's never shut off but it's clearly the pads striking the rotor. I read that if the rubber boot is new it may retract the pads and cause the noise. I do have an RPM surge when downshifting to turn and it's a safety issue if there are rocks or sand in the turn. Dealer said it was "normal" but it's never been normal on my other 7 Harleys (through the years). Since it has a 2 year warranty, looking at it is at no charge. Keep me posted.
