Just got to thinking, since quite a few other things changed over the years, wondering where the rear master cylinder is located on the 2014 and up models. My '08 has it at bottom rear of the frame, right in front of rear wheel.
Wondering about all this for a future swap to further forwards.
Just to complicate the issue the pipes I have linked to are from a 2017 or newer European bike that has a reducer on the end as the MoCo fitted a gasket for some reason.
Ok I see now. So now I guess, for curiosities sake, I will have to look at a newer sporty to see how the mufflers are held to the bike, since the old crossover pipe also holds the mufflers on mine.
HD likes to keep their engineers busy.
I can see the need for a change. Just got my bike back together yesterday and have a massive leak at the front crossover connection. I half expected it since the crush gasket looked iffy. Gonna try to fix that today sometime.
The bracket must bolt up similar to the crossover pipe, then I guess. Since the bolt holes are already there. So the crossover header is basically the same as my crossover, except moved forward a bit to become part of the one piece header/crossover.
Thanks for the info.
I need to see if I can fix my exhaust leak on my crossover. They are a PITA so I see the rationale behind the change. Now if HD had just adapted the RevMax to the evo look sportster, and called it good........although I much prefer the sound of the evo motor.
