Looking for rigid tank bib / dash panel part for FXDF Fat Bob tank
I’m looking for a rigid tank bib / dash cover / console piece for a Harley-Davidson FXDF Fat Bob tank.
I don’t want the soft leather tank bib version — I’m looking for a hard piece that can be painted, running from the seat area up toward the speedometer / tank console.
Does anyone know the Harley part number, aftermarket reference, or another Dyna model using the same piece?
Bike/tank: FXDF Fat Bob.
Thanks.
Cyrille

I put one on my super glide. Don’t care for the leather.

Seeing your part confirmed it’s the same one, and that it fits ’06 FXD35, ’07–’11 FXDC, ’08–’10 FXDF and ’04–’08 FXDWG models. That gives me a much wider hunting ground.
So far it’s either out of stock, or the seller won’t ship to France, but I’ll keep digging with those models in mind.
Much appreciated. The search continues.
Harley didn’t really offer many “hard swap” versions across the Dyna line, so there isn’t a widely shared part number that directly replaces the leather bib with a painted plastic/metal unit. Most of the factory hard pieces are tied to specific trim years or the later Dyna console assemblies, and they’re not a clean bolt-on across all FXDF models.
What people usually do is either source a used OEM rigid console top from later Dyna variants or go aftermarket fiberglass/ABS units meant for custom builds. Another option is swapping the entire tank console assembly from a compatible Dyna year range and adapting wiring/brackets.
If you’re set on OEM-style fitment, a dealer parts fiche check for your exact year FXDF is still the best starting point.
