Hello!
I'm from New Bern, NC. I have been riding for many years, started with motocross on a Husky but then stopped for about 40 years and started riding street bikes again in 2008. Had a Yamaha Warrior until I got the chance to do a solo cross country trip for a month. Got a Yamaha Venture for comfort and reliability. Almost 7K miles in 30 days. That bike got to be a little much for around town riding and day trips. So now I have a 1999 Sportster 1200. I like it's lightness and maneuverability. Doesn't have near the "punch" of the Warrior, but then again I'm getting a little long in the tooth for all out performance. Glad to be here and still riding!
@Mike1109 Welcome to the HDFORUM.
I hope you enjoy your time here as much as you enjoy bikes.
It is a great idea to create a signature line that includes your bike's year, model, and all the letter designations Harley-Davidson uses (excluding the VIN, of course). You can also add a picture to your signature line.
If you choose not to create a signature, remember to include this bike information whenever you post a question by using the drop-down menu to choose the appropriate area on the forum. This ensures you get the most accurate and helpful responses.
At the bottom of each area, you will find Community Team Owners for that section. PM them if you need help selecting an appropriate area.
