Default Exhaust choice dilemma

I put on a Fuel Moto header and Khrome Werks mufflers with louvered baffles on my 2025 and am not enjoying the tone and (lack of) loudness.

my 2015 limited has same header with Wild Pig Pipes mufflers and was loud and sounded like an old school Harley should.

I know the M8 won’t sound like the “good old days” but I’m looking for more volume without the drone. The Krome Werks are great for no drone but there is no volume.
I’m going to be putting a Red Shift 528 cam in it soon and trying to figure out where to go with the exhaust.

We tour a lot and put on the miles so I don’t want a D&D big bore. I am wondering if the Billet Cat with a Vortex Baffle would be “tour friendly”. That would be different from the 2-1-2 header sound but I wonder if it is tame enough to idle through some towns without sounding obnoxious. The M8s sound good with 2-1.

if I stay 2-1-2 then what mufflers should I look at. I kind of love/hate the Rinehart sound so not sure.

any suggestions

Why not put your mufflers from the 2015 on your 25 and see what it sounds like?

They won’t fit. The 2015 was a twin cam and the new one is in Milwaukee 8 center called

Take the louvered baffles out, just two screws on each side.

Is there insulation wrapped on the louvered baffles? My TAB 4" baffles did and unwrapping them helped a lot. I thought the TAB Zombies were just a touch too barky for a touring bike that Mrs. MJ and I spend hours at a time on.

You have the best sounding (and performing) setup, already. If you add that cam, and a great tune, you will have all the noise you want. There are also different baffles for those KW cans that are louder, but the louvered are the best for performance.

Do the cam. Then go for a long ride. I promise you will be pleased. It is all about the cam with the M8

I had those cans and those baffles on a 114. It will actually be quieter that way. Just a deep hollow sound.

The stock M8 will just not sound like a Twin Cam.

I have the FM Jackpot Hi - out puts with the Tunable inserts and they sound good at low speed and bark when you feed er the onions, but I would love to try a set of Khrome Werx mufflers they sound great IMO and bark when you twist the grip,,, but a lot of coin though, my tinnitus wreaks havoc on my purchasing decisions.
