So you have 16" ape hangers, how wide are your grips. I see some 32" wide all the way out to 41" wide like Carlini Gangster's. Any riding benefit to wide Vs. Narrow grip width on apehangers ? Im gonna be swapping my 12" ape bars out soon for 16" apes and just want your opinions on wide vs. narrow grip width's. Thanks forum..

 

I think the width difference comes from having a 1.25 inch vs a 1.5 inch bar. The thicker bar is a little wider. I've got a set of 1.25 flying apes which I believe are 32 or 34 and I love them. Maybe mock something up out of a hanger and see what you like best

 

If I could find some 32"-36" bars that are 1.5" that would be awesome. I don't understand the whole really wide bars thing other than looks.
