Wink Pics of 16" Apes On FX Front

I got my 05 FXST this fall and have been looking at apes for awhile now. Anybody have pics to share of 16" apes on the same front end as mine? So far I like the HCC Narrow apes, Nice Curves, and Tree Huggers with the mitered bottom. I want something narrow but I don't really like the Burly ones since they are 1". Thanks

you should have the wide glide trees on that bike. I would look for a set of bars with 11.5 to 12.5 inch center. that way they look like that fit instead of looking pinched in. but that is just my opinion

OK so I can look at pictures of Wide Glides too. I was thinking my trees were narrower.

These are only 14" bars but the width for the 16s would be the same. They are Wild1 Outlawz if you haven't checked them out yet. They match up perfectly with the width of the trees/fork tubes.

if those are the wild1 chubby bars then i had them on my bike before i went with a set of custom bars. i believe they are a little narrower than the wide glide trees. i think they would look perfect if he does have a mid/narrow glide front end.

also i have the d&d low cat exhaust sitting in a box waiting to get installed. how do you like them?

Yeah the bars are just a touch narrower but not much, they match the front end pretty damn closely.

As for the lowcat, I like it. I wanted something different. In my area nobody really has a 2-1 and everyone runs V&H. As for performance, I really don't know if it helped or not since I put it on at the same time I did the 95" kit. Sound wise...I have the standard baffle and its not too loud at lower rpm's but it screams when you hammer down. It's got a nice rumble but if you've read about the D&D's they have a tinny, metal sound to them. I like it though. And with the bike lowered as much as mine is, I do scrape it. But it scrapes up under the first bend on the header by the foot control, not on the can itself.

How much lowering in the rear? Have a set of 1-2" lowering bolts I have to put in still and was looking to get close to what yours looks like on my NT.

I don't think the Outlawz come in 16". I'm leaning toward the HCC bars because they are a decent price. I need to figure out if I want their narrow or standard version.
