Hi:

Trying to find a 15 heritage classic with upgraded wheel option in my area right now is impossible.

There is a dealer that has a 14 with the updgraded wheel option at a pretty good price that is brand new.

Looking for opinions for the upgraded braking system on the 15's vs. the 14's.

Lever effort was decreased by 40% big deal. The brake lever is not hard to pull anyway.

I can tell you the abs on my 14 works very well.

 

I had my choice between a 14 and a 15 Heritage. The dealer offered me $1000 off the 14, I took it in a heartbeat! My brakes are fine, not worth the money for a minor upgrade, IMO. If the price was the same I'd go with the 15, but the difference wasn't that noticeable to me.

 

As stated the braking system has been improved but I don't think most softail owners care. Not a lot of trading up here. Most owners seem to be happy with their softails regardless of some of it's "shortcoming".

 

I went from a 12 FLSTC to a 15 a month ago. To be honest I can't tell the difference between the brakes even though I know there is ABS on my 15.

I agree with getting the upgraded wheels, I've had those on both my bikes.

 

Are the upgrade wheels the smooth tubeless spoke rims?

 

yes, they are the tubeless spoke rims

 

Tubeless rims are a real bonus. One of the things I really wished my bike had.

 

What is the big deal with tubeless rims?
