that looks fantastic but the sissy bar with dock is about $300 then the motherwell rack is $140 and then the bag i am assuming is at least $100. is there a more reasonable solution?

I got the sissy bar used on ebay for $150. Look for a Motherwells there also. Before I had the sissy bar I just used a multiple attachment bungie and layed it on the rack.

Like my bike in full bar bike mode at all times, if need to carry anything more than in my pockets, a backpack works great.

I did the same for a while, cause i liked the look. After i put the bags on for a trip i never looked back. Around town or bar hopping there is no need for either.
