Does anyone know where I can buy 14-16" black powder coated apes? I have been searching for weeks and can't find a thing. There is a little bike show coming up by me with some local bike shops. Is the only way to get black apehangers to have them made or send a set of after markets for powder coating? Thanks for the help.

 

I know that I belong in the Dyna threads but I saw the black apes subject and couldn't resist.

I got mine from Nash Motorcycle Company. I don't know how Gimp Hangers would look on a Softail though. http://www.nashmotorcycle.com/ You might search the Dyna threads though because I know there are a few guys that have other brands of black apes there.

Wild1 will powdercoat any of their bars. I bought my black 501's from them.

 

Thanks 16over, tx outlaw....I look at a set of bars similar form nyc choppers. Liked them a lot but thought they might look to narrow on a fat boy front end. Next stop wild1. Again thanks for feed back.

 

Hmmm...looked at the subject line and had to rush in. Thought I was going to have to demand someone be fired. After reading the post I suppose it wasn't what I thought.

I wish I knew that before I ordered my 12.5 apes from wild 1 and sent them out to the powder coater and had to scrape of the powdercoating on the grips that they said they wouldn't put on there.
