Default mock up fork brace for a 23 inch wheel

I recently got a 23 inch wheel and love the no fender look. I've never seen a fork brace for a 23 so I chopped my RSD fork brace for old 21 inch wheel and made it fit the 23er. Was a little skeptical doing it because I didn't want to ruin a $150 RSD brace but just need to get it powder coated. I know there was several guys on here looking for a brace that fits a 23er and this was easy to do so I thought I'd share what I had done.

I've been wanting to make a brace. Do you feel a noticeable difference in rigidity?

Personally I can't really tell to much of a difference weather it's on or not. But I'd rather have it on to keep the integrity of the suspension plust it fills up the bolt holes where the fender mounts and it's something different you don't really see with the 23ers.

anything joining the forks in that are, will be an improvement. Though that type of brace wil not get you best results.

It was a piece of cake to do. I just need to take it to the powder coater still. I am still stripping other parts off to get done that's why it's taking so long to get it back on the bike.

Do you think you could get me some measurements on the built one?? I have a buddy at a machine shop I'm gonna have try and mock one up for me. My 23 should be here in the next couple of weeks.

I bought an RSD brace back when I had my 21 on. Obviously it won't work on a 23er, so I cut the brace above where it mounts to the fork and added a 1 3/8 inch steel plate and welded it up.
