Default I need better foot pegs!

I purchased the RSD moto peg. and they look great but don't function so well. even though they look like they have grip my boots slide all over them. i can't hang my feet over the top because they are tapered, and they are small so on long rides i don't have a second position to put my feet.

i love the look and for anything up to 1/2 hour ride they are great. but when i start pushing over the 1 hour mark i start hating them.

any suggestions?

You can try going with something like the Bear Traps's a good amount of people go with these because they allow your feet to stay on the peg and also allow you to tilt your feet at different positions when riding, so you are more comfortable while riding. Hope this helps

Beartraps...I had those on my BMX bike in the late 70's! Man do they tear up your shins when you fall in shorts. Probably not a concern on a Harley however. lol

JerseyDrew do you have an engine guard? I have highway pegs on mine and couldn't do without them on long trips. Also, if you ever have a simple drop of your bike, like perhaps your kickstand isn't all the way down or something, the guard prevents expensive damage.

Floorboards.

Function over fashion.

I've got a set of the Bear Traps. You can adjust the tension on them to spin freely or tighten them up to stay pretty solid. Made a big difference on my Wide Glide with forward controls. My feet always felt like they were slipping down even with heel rest. The Bear Traps ended all that.

Another vote for the bear trap pegs. I got mine from DK.
You can lock them into position so they don't spin.

I left mine so that they spin so I can adjust my foot. Even when you let them spin your feet won't slide off.
