Default Black sticker on dash???

Has anyone removed the black around the gauge and key on the factory console? Is it even a sticker? And if so what's the best way of doing it
And what does it look like underneath? Want to get rid of mine but figured I'd do some homework before ruining it....

Thanks!!!

I switched mine to a leather trim piece. It came just a dull almost pebbled finish. I like the leather, it tones down the chrome.....a little.

Dont remove it just paint the two fangs on the chrome bib black so it flows better with the console.

it's not really a "sticker"..it's a piece of thin aluminum with adhesive tape. You can remove it, but if you do, you won't be able to put it back on (because you're going to bend the heck outta it). New ones are like $5 or something like that.
