Default A few updates to the Fatboy

I was looking for an inexpensive bag solution and I have certain size requirements that I must meet. I need to be able to take my laptop and other assorted paraphernalia with me to the office. I looked at a lot of options, and pics that are posted here. I finally settled on the Carol Leather #733 bags.

They are throw overs, so I cut a piece of sheepskin and glued it to the yoke, fur side down, in an effort to save my paint. Found Sheep skin "Scraps" on ebay cheap.

I also added an oil temp gauge dipstick from JP Cycles along with a cheap set of new grips.

I should have the fairing later today. I'll post picks when that is in place.

Now for the important part... PICS!

Bags look great, but I'm a fringe fan.

Just a little tip regarding the oil temp gauge. If it doesn't fit snugly it will pop out and you will lose it on the road. Buy a skinny o-ring and put it in the grooves of the gauge.

Btw, nice looking bike!

Great advice, I did this as well as my gauge dipstick would leak oil. Simple o-ring takes care of it.

I just ran across these bags and thought of you. These aren't inexpensive, but I've seen Bossbags stuff in person and man is it top quality. These bags look big enough to store a couple weeks worth of stuff!

Try the dipstick first because mine doesn't seem to need the extra o-ring. No leaking as of yet (1 yr.)

I agree that Boss bags are top qaulity bags. When I replace the bags on my softail heritage I am going with Boss bags. They are expensive but they are some of the best bags out there.
