Default se 110 motor in softail s

Is this motor based on the new kit parts or the older motor with heavier cylinder walls and bigger case spigots?

Something is different. First, the 2016 CVO models are touring bikes with unbalanced motors. At the least, there is an A and B difference.

But, even when you go back to 2015 and look at the CVO Deluxe, the P/N is entirely different.

Here are three examples.

This is the Slim S 110.

This is the 2016 CVO Electra Glide 110.

And here is the 2015 CVO Deluxe 110

In this link, you can compare subcomponents.

The only real way to know is to tear both motors (older CVO & current 110") and compare the parts to the new 110" kit.

Given the track record of the MoCo and the creative ways they try to pinch pennies, I wouldn't be surprised if there was no difference at all.
